Christopher Popowich has designed lighting for dance, theatre, opera and architecture in Canada, the UK, Asia and the United States.  He is co-owner and Principal Designer of  C & C Lighting, an entertainment and architectural lighting design company based in the US. He designed the Asian premiere of Art and the world premiere of Balls for Singapore Rep.  His UK credits include Journey West which also played at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.  His professional credits in the US include All the Kings Men directed by Adrian Hall, The Reduced Ring Cycle, The Magic Flute and The Marriage of Figaro for the Opera Theatre of Pittsburgh, the Beckett Festival and Pillowman for Pittsburgh Irish & Classical Theatre and Amadeus at Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park.  He co-designed with Cindy Limauro the architectural lighting for the Carnegie Museum of Natural History’s Hall of Dinosaurs and the Chariot of Aurora for the Carnegie Museum of Art.  Both projects received an Award for Outstanding Achievement in Lighting Design from the Illuminating Engineering Society of North America (IESNA) and an Award of Merit in the International Design Awards
