Cindy Limauro designs lighting for theatre, opera, dance and architecture.  Design highlights include the world premiere of Dracula, Il Musical in Rome which toured Italy and was presented at an international theatre festival in Costa Rica, Tosca and Fidelio for the Pittsburgh Opera, Mister Roberts starring Martin Sheen at the Burt Reynolds Theatre and The Threepenny Opera for Opera Columbus which will be part of the juried design exhibit at the Prague Quadrennial in June 2007.  She is currently collaborating with Pamela Howard from the UK on Martinu’s The Marriage, to be performed in London and Prague. As a visiting professor at the Higher Institute of Architectural Sciences Henry van de Velde in Antwerp she led a team of students to design the lighting for the exterior façade of the Royal Museum of Fine Arts which was installed in September 2006.  She is a member of United Scenic Artists (USA), the International Association of Lighting Designers (IALD) and was named a Fellow of the Institute by USITT for Outstanding Contribution to the Theatre.  She is a professor of lighting design at Carnegie Mellon University, USA in the Schools of Drama and Architecture.
