He was born in Mexico City in 1968. He has a degree in architecture from Universidad Iberoamericana. He studied stage design with Alejandro Luna with whom he collaborated in several productions. He is a member of the National System of Creators.

He has designed many theatre, opera and dance productions in Mexico including projects for the National Theatre, Opera and Dance companies.  Amongst his more relevant works are Wagner’s Ring Cycle, The Magic Flute, Phaedra and other Greek woman and Copenhagen.

He won a Set Design Honorary Mention at Prague Quadrennial 2003, and the Gold Medal of Set Design at the World Stage Design exhibition Toronto 2005.
